After a 4 days stop in Las Vegas, our next destination was LA- Los Angeles!!
Hostel
The hostel that we booked to stay was
Los Angeles Backpackers Paradise Hostel. Its a cheap hostel where you can choose to stay in a dorm or private room.
We choose to stay in a 20 beds male dorm which was not a very good idea. Due to there were too many people in a room, you don't feel secure to keep your important stuffs in the room. That's why I have to bring out my laptop everyday which is very inconvenient.
The peoples in the service counter didn't really provide a nice service to us. We are the customers, they should at least show us some smile when we ask question, not those face like we owe them money.
The wifi service was also very sucks. We have to go out to the lobby in order to use the wifi and the connection always lose which was very frustrating.
The only good thing of this hostel besides cheap is that they provide free shuttle to the Los Angeles International Airport. Its just a 20 minutes ride to the airport. Since it is near the airport, the hostel is quite far from the tourist spot like Hollywood, Disneyland and Universal Studio. It took an hour plus to travel to these places.

Experience
Honestly speaking, LA wasn't that fun if there doesn't have Disneyland, Universal Studio such places. The city, the street wasn't very clean and the people there were like....uummm.... act like Malays in Malaysia ( if you know what I mean ). You'll feel unsecured no matter you are on street, in a bus or even in train. It happened to me a few times that the people there suddenly talked to me in a strange manner. What I can do is just ignore them. We saw a lot of people wearing like this on the street which I have a BIG question mark on my head.

Who the hell want to see their underwear??? |
Road to Hollywood
It took an hour bus ride to Hollywood. The first place we went was
Madame Tussauds Hollywood.
The entrance ticket wasn't cheap but luckily there was a student price. The first wax figure we saw was Shrek!
It was outside the ticket counter |
The wax figures inside were mostly the Hollywood superstars,
Nicolas Cage |
Eddie Murphy |
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt |
Jim Carrey |
Sylvester Stallone |
USA President- Barack Obama |
Johnny Depp |
Robin Williams |
Steven Speilberg |
007 agent- Daniel Craig |
The God- Morgan Freeman |
Hollywood singers,
Britney Spears |
Beyonce |
Snoop Dogg |
Lady Gaga |
Elton John |
Justin Timberlake |
Madonna |
The King of Pop- Michael Jackson |
and including those 60's, 70's actors.
The Chaplin |
Marilyn Monroe |
The Godfather |
So if you never notice about Hollywood stars, then this won't be a good place to visit as you will not know most of the actors.
There are also a section where the wax figures are recent Hollywood movie characters.
The Terminator- Arnold |
Thor |
Spiderman |
Die Hard- Bruce Willis |
Wolverine- Hugh Jackman |
Fantastic 4- Jessica Alba |
Jackie Chan!! |
Halo |
The Rock |
The Iron Man- Robert Downey Jr. |
After visiting this magnificent place full of "Superstars" , we went for a walk at the
Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The walkway consists a lot of Superstars' brass stars.
Even cartoon characters.
After that, we also saw the hand prints of Superstars.
"I'll be back!" |
Hand prints of MJ and his children |
Hand prints of Harry Potter's main casts |
Our first day in LA, we just spent it at Hollywood. It was quite fun, but the next day was a lot more fun than it. ^^
