My memory about the Red Devil- Manchester United Part 2

2005/06

This season's transfer market United signed quite a number of players who will become a legend in Manchester United.

During Summer transfer market Man Utd signed Edwin Van der Sar from Fulham who later become United's greatest goalkeeper  after Peter Schmeichel.

They also signed United first Korean player- Park Ji Sung who was the most successful Asian football player.

Then during the Winter transfer market United signed 2 more defender which later form United's strongest defense line- Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra.

However this season was also the last season for United's hardcore Captain- Roy Keane.

This season United didn't ended with empty hand. They fought to the final of Carling Cup and won 4-0 against Wigan which Rooney scored 2 goals , Saha and Ronaldo each scored one.

Rooney's first trophy in United and received the Man of Match

United played better than last season and Ferguson had formed a deadly attackers- the 3Rs' (Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Rooney). However, they still can't win back the BPL(Barclays Premier League) title from Chelsea. It was United third consecutive season can't win the title and end up in second place.

2006/07

From last season, there have been a conflict between Ferguson and Nistelrooy. During the summer transfer market, Ferguson had to sell him to Real Madrid. I was quite a shocked when the news was out because he was one of my favourite players in MU. But I love United more than I like him, so I still support United even though he left.

After the arrival of Van der Sar, Tim Howard wasn't the regular no.1 for United anymore. So, he was sold to Everton and Van der Sar get the number  from him and became United's no.1 !

Ferguson only signed one player in this season which help to support United's midfield. Michael Carrick was signed for a transfer record £13m from Tottenham.

2006/07 Squad

Before the season start, it was the Fifa World Cup 2006

During the world cup, once again England faced Portugal in Quarter Final. There was a small conflict between Ronaldo and Rooney. It was said that because of Ronaldo's action which caused Rooney to get a red card.

All the English fans were very furious and warned Ronaldo never to come back England. There was rumor that Ronaldo might leave United to Real Madrid.

But Ferguson has his style of handling situation. After a talk with Ronaldo, he decided to stay and here began a new chapter of Ronaldo.

Due to the incident, Ronaldo had grew more mature and because of his maturity, United have claimed back their long lost title- BPL trophy. After 3 seasons, United finally won back the title with a 6-point gap with Chelsea.

The partnership between Ronaldo and Rooney was very crucial for the title race

However at UEFA Champion League, United was so close to the Final but they still lose to AC Milan in the Semi final second leg. This is just the beginning for another Ferguson's era, next season will be better season.
