Work and Travel 2012: Where Dreams Came True

On our second and third days in LA, we went to my childhood Dream place :
DISNEYLAND!

Since we were going for 2 days, we bought the tickets online which was the 2 Day 1 Park per Day ticket : http://disneyland.disney.go.com/tickets/
Although the tickets are quite expensive, but its more worth than buying the ticket on the spot.

Disneyland in Los Angeles consists of 2 parks: Disneyland Park & Disney California Adventure Park.
Both parks are HUGE, can't finish all the rides with just 1 day, but we have tried the most awesome rides there!

The first day we decide to go to Disneyland Park. Like I said before, our accommodation was very far from the tourist spot. We have to wake early in the morning to take an hour plus train and bus ride.
waiting for the train

Here comes the train!!

Disneyland Park

After an hour ride, we are here !!

Both parks are just opposite to each other.
Even though it was just 10 in the morning, there was already a long queue to go in the park.

Disneyland Park is divided into a few theme parts and they are connected to each other. We started our fun from Adventureland.
The first thing we saw upon entering the park, a grass land with Mickey's face.
MUST take a photo with it!
a nice quote from Disneyland

The first character we saw. Know who she is ??? The Queen of Hearts from Alice in the Wonderland

We were very lucky, not long after we entered the park a parade was going on. It was Mickey leading a bass band!

Continue walking on the MAIN STREET U.S.A, we reached to the iconic statue of Disneyland. The Walt Disney and his partner, Mickey Mouse statue.

I was so touched when I saw this statue. I dream a lot about going there when I was a kid, now I was finally there! Can't really express how excited I was at that moment.( My friends know how excited I was..lol )

 Our first adventure! ADVENTURELAND!!!

It was very crowded, so we just followed the road to where it will lead us to. Then we came across this restaurant which is clearly an Aladdin's theme restaurant.

And there was a sign board saying that we can meet characters from Aladdin !

Without much hesitation, we just went inside to see who is it. There she was, the first Disney Princess we saw, Princess Jasmine

We also went back there again and saw Aladdin and the Genie.
too bad I can't take with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin together
A funny thing that time. There was a little girl who is afraid of the Genie cried when he was coming near to her. The mother of the girl told the employee that she was afraid and ask the Genie kindly to move away. But the little girl still crying because Genie was still there, the employee then use his body to cover Genie and told the girl Genie was gone. The little girl stop crying and took a photo with Aladdin with a smile.

The first ride we took was Indiana Jones Adventure. It was a dark ride, something like the Mummy ride in Universal Studio.

Then, we went to Tarzan's Treehouse which talk about the story of Tarzan along the way up of the treehouse.

Sabor
Kala and baby Tarzan

After that, we came to the New Orleans Square where it have the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride, a ghost ride in the Haunted Mansion, and so on.

Captain Jack Sparrow
There was a Pirate ship outside but we never board it because the queue was too long

The ghost ride in Haunted Mansion was quite "special".  It wasn't those kind of scary, terrifying ride. Its just creepy, with all the "special effect". It was not bad, should try it.

Then in Critter Country we came to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

My friends and I took the ride which was actually for children. LOL
After the ride, it was Photo time!!!
Too bad we couldn't take with Eeyore, because he was going to change shift with Tigger!

Tigger!

the Main Character- Pooh!
Once you entered the Fantasyland, we can hear the classic songs from Disney's cartoons like Snow White, Little Mermaid, Pinocchio and so on. Those songs reminded me of my childhood. I felt like I was a kid again. haha...

There was a few rides there which were those cartoons theme rides. They were quite boring because they were actually rides for children..lol

Pinocchio's theme ride

 Snow White's theme ride

 Peter Pan's theme ride

the BIG whale
rabbit from Alice in the Wonderland

In Disney's Princess Fantasy Faire, we actually waited for 30 minutes to get a chance to take picture with the "Princesses".

Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty

Snow White

Cinderella
In Mickey's Toontown, we get to see all Mickey's and his friends houses.

But before that, it was dinner time!!
We ordered 2 sets of Pizza and shared. It wasn't cheap to have Lunch and Dinner in Disneyland.

You really feel like you are in the Toon world

Mickey's House!!

Mickey left a message
We were very lucky that we can meet Mickey Mouse and took photo with him because it was near the closing time and he gonna leave soon.
Took a signature from Mickey
Cheese~~
Minnie Mouse's House

Donald Duck's Boat? House?

Goofy's House

Chip n Dale Tree House

We can't stay too long there as it was near the closing time, so we couldn't finish visiting all the houses.

At night when Disneyland was about to close, everyone sat outside of the castle and waited for the Firework performance! It was very crowded, hardly find a place to sit.

The Fireworks was AMAZING!!! Disneyland Park is really a Dreamland for kids, I felt like I was a kid again that day. All the childhood memories came back to me. The happier thing for me was that, I will be going back there again on the next day!! haha.. We were going to visit Disney California Adventure!!
