After 2 and a half years, Perfume finally released a new Album - [COSMIC EXPLORER]! Along with this new album, they also announced their latest tour concert - 6th Tour [COSMIC EXPLORER]!! Yet again, I've got the chance to go for their concert in Japan for the THIRD times! COSMIC EXPLORER in Fukui, here I GO!!!
This time I couldn't get a ticket thru W.PTA balloting, but luckily I still manage to get one ticket in Fukui on 29th May 2016 (Sun) via PIA ticket. I was really lucky to get at least one ticket thru balloting as the open sale tickets sold out within an hour for all the places. For this tour, Perfume purposely chosen some places they never go before to held their concert. They will go in total of 7 prefectures which are Miyagi (宮城), Shizuoka (静岡), Fukui (福井), Tokushima (徳島), Chiba (千葉), Wakayama(和歌山) and Hokkaido (北海道), and the tour will start from 3rd May until 3rd July.
Thanks to Perfume, it was the first time I heard about a prefecture called Fukui. It's not really a tourist spot as there is nothing much to visit there. The most well-known spot there is their Dinosaur Musuem, Fukui is famous about discovery of dinosaur bones, even their prefecture mascot is a dinosaur called Rapto (ラプト). In front of the Fukui station there are even 1:1 dinosaur statue.
Perfume 6th Tour in Fukui was held in Sun Dome which has a capacity of 10,000. Since I stayed nearby the location, I decided to go there early to queue for the goods because of the past experience I had, around 10 am there already has a long queue of people. So on that day I was there around 9 in the morning, but seems like the residents in Fukui are different from big city because there is no one there yet! Even the staffs haven't start working yet. I thought I came on the wrong date (LOL). Slowly there are people reaching there who are expecting a queue too, but no one seem to volunteer to be the first one as there are still a few hours to the sales time. Around 10.30 am they start to form a queue and since I was there early, I was in the first 5 position (hehe).
As the time getting closer, more people came into the queue and the staffs have to form a snake line. 15 minutes before the sales time, the staffs finally let us in to the real goods queue.

Well, this time I hadn't bought much goods, just a beautiful, shinny pamphlet, one towel, one blue and one white t-shirts, a CE emblem badge, a pair of socks, a hand band, a traveling pack, and Perfume fans club shirt. ^^
Beside the goods booths, there is a booth selling the ISETAN collaboration dance heels, a PTA booths and also CDs booth.

I was a bit late, but this was quite interesting combi. The gold hair guy is cosplaying Nakata-san, Perfume's music producer.(LOL) Anyway, this group of Perfume cosplayers are the winner of Perfume 3rd dance competition if I'm not mistaken

As usual, we don't know what is our seat number until we get our seat ticket at the entrance. I really hope I can get an arena seat which is closer to the stage, but too bad I didn't get it this time. However the seat which I got wasn't too bad at all!

It was a 360 view concert and the set is a wow. It goes with the theme [COSMIC EXPLORER], you could guess it was like a space control station set. While waiting for the concert to start, I was guessing what will be the first entry song. Will it be the first song in the album "Navigate" with a video intro? Or the album title song "COSMIC EXPLORER"? Or maybe "STORY", since the opening there is a countdown. At 4pm, the whole dome turned red like an alert situation and here go the first song - "STORY"!!! What an entrance!!!

I really love this song especially intro after the countdown. The holographic entrance from the sky, what a start of the concert! Right after this was their new song in the album. The theme song for Yukachan's favorite manga adaptation movie, Chihayafuru (ちはやふる).
FLASH! Their first kung fu dance in MV. A bit dissappointed there was no light saber fight just like the MV in the last part. Surprisingly after this it was their major debut 5th Anniversary song - Dream Fighter. At first I thought the set list will only be the songs in their new album, but it was great to see them perform their good old songs too especially for those who went to see their concert for the first time. Then, it was their commercial song for Mercedes Benz - Next Stage With YOU! The dance move was very cute, everyone followed them in driving position and turn right, turn left and honk twice. Haha. It was fun.
As usual, after 4 songs it was their MC time! Chihayafuru is a favourite for all 3 members and one of the character - Arata was born in Fukui-prefecture, so NOCCHi mimic the Fukui-ben(福井弁) and greet the fans. I don't know does she speak like Fukui-ben but I can recognise there are some difference with it's strong tone. She asked the fans does she sound like Fukui-ben, she practiced really hard when they reached Fukui. Haha.
That day there were really a lot of Perfume cosplayers and they also realized that. They saw a lot of 'Perfume' at the arena area. So they interviewed one of the cosplay group, ask them did they make the costume themselves and praise them for a good job. They also did a perfect hairstyle just like them and able to recognise straight away who is cosplaying who. A~chan asked the NOCCHi cosplayer how she got that hairstyle. The cosplayer answered she just told the hairstyler she want a "NOCCHi hairstyle". A~chan and the others were shocked and said "So there is a new hairstyle now called NOCCHi hairstyle!". LOL. A~chan also talked about their latest album and mentioned that NOCCHi really love this album a lot! NOCCHi continue saying that normally other than rehearsal, or dance practice, she seldom listen to their own songs in her spare time. However, this album is different from the previous and really love it! She can't stop listening to this album for countless time. For NOCCHi's personality when she's in love of something, she will do it for countless time, I guess it's also the same for songs.Hehe
After the MC, there was a special medley which consists of new and old songs. A~chan said if you know all the songs in it which mean you're really a true fans, and I manage to guess all the songs. Haha. After that, it was TOKIMEKI LIGHT and Baby Face. For the first time, I saw Perfume sit on chairs relaxly and sing the new song - Baby Face. It's a relax, cheerful and cute song. Finally there is a break time on stage for them to perform the song without dancing. The first half ended of the concert ended after they performed Night Flight at the entrance stage.
Normally during the half time break, it was Perfume's music producer - Nakata-san (中田ヤスタカ) remix performance time with visual effects. However, this time it's a bit different. There is a short video of Perfume in Space and the quality is damn high! It's totally like a movie starting with Perfume and the title is [COSMIC EXPLORER]. The way they make their entrance and perform the album title song - COSMIC EXPLORER is really WOW. It's like a whole new start of the concert, new entrance song. I keep hearing "sugoi, sugoi,sugoi" around me from the first timers. It was really fantastic.
After another 4 songs, they said they wanna have something special and different for the fans and audience on that day. So they bring back the programme in their previous concert. Yes! It's the dice game, Sugoroku (双六) and the special dice is back!
This time is also the same, there are 10 songs which include their indies songs. A~chan said in the list there is one song that give NOCCHi a trauma. "If you watched the Documentary movie you should know which is that." LOL. The song that NOCCHi made a serious mistake in one of the live during their 3rd World Tour, Handy Man! NOCCHi said after that incident she never perform that song again, got a bit phobia. However, for this tour she practiced really hard to avoid making the mistake again (haha). The same as last time each of them will throw the dice once and perform the 3 songs which are chosen in that order. Yukachan is the first one to throw and she got ポリリズム. In the instruction list, she was asked to jump as high as a~chan and she was mocked b a~chan "できるかな～" because she's a 運動音痴, LOL.
NOCCHi and a~chan both got STAR which mean both of them got to choose the songs they want. NOCCHi choose Handy Man hope to overcome her trauma(haha), and the intructions list ask her to do a winning pose if she performed flawlessly. I really hope in the Blu-ray/DVD for this tour, they record this part into it too because it was really funny when they're discussing what winning pose NOCCHi should do, haha. A~chan said she want to be ONE with all the fans and the audience, and so she chose MY COLOR. Beside discussing where should they stand for the next song, where to pick up and put down the mic, this time there is a bit different which is they have to decide where to slot in PTA corner. In the end, the set list of that day are ポリリズム, PTA corner, Handy Man and MY COLOR.
After the sugoroku session, they perform last 2 songs, Hold Your Hand and STAR TRAIN. Surprisingly there was no encore for it. They thank all the fans and audience, and were very grateful that the audience gave a strong reaction to them, it's like it wasn't the first time they're performing in Fukui. However, personally I can feel the difference of the atmosphere there compare to big cities, it wasn't as high as the concert held in big cities. Just among my surrounding, I can already feel that all of them are Fukui residents who came for Perfume for the first time and I'm the one who always keep in high tension. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed a lot in the concert, it wasn't the best that I went so far, but I laughed a lot during their MC. The concert end at 6.30 pm and soon they will be performing in USA! All the best to Team Perfume and I also hope they received my souvenir to them and read my letter. Hehe.
