Pandemic finally over ! ?

2 years after Singapore and Malaysia closed the land border in March 2020, both countries finally announced to lift the restriction and the residents can freely enter and leave. Is the pandemic finally over?

Ever since Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020 everyone had been stuck at their own place for almost 2 years. We couldn't travel, can't even go back to hometown to meet our family without quarantine. We thought this pandemic situation will only last 1 year and 2021 will be back to normal, but we are so wrong.

Thanks for the effort of both Singapore and Malaysia, things starting to get better in 2022. Early this year we finally can go back home without quarantine and celebrate Chinese New Year with our family. Even though the expenses to go back home that time was quite high including 3 times of PCR tests, at least we can go home without quarantine. 

Then in March 2022, both countries announced they will open the border in 1st April. No more restriction! We are free to go back Malaysia anytime now! The crazy queue at custom checkpoint is back again! 😂

Now more and more countries already lifted their border restriction and welcome tourists. Even Japan also started to loosen the restriction and allow a limit of tourists to go in under travel agency. Hopefully soon they will remove these restriction and I can go Japan again! 😆
