A Journey to Eat, Shop, Pray~~~

During July this year,me and my 3 friends went for a 6 days Bangkok trip. It may seems quite a lot of days, but actually it was just nicely.

To be honest, I wasn't feeling excited towards this trip because I would choose to go Korea rather than Bangkok. However after this trip, it totally changed my mind. I'm glad I choose to go Bangkok over Korea. The accommodation are cheap, transportation are cheap, foods are cheap, cloths are affordable( mostly for girls) and there have a lot of nice scenery to take photos. It is totally worth to come travel in Bangkok.

We took Air Asia, so we only can stop at Don Mueang Airport. The airport seems far from town, but actually there is a cheap way to go town. There is a bus service (no.A1 and A2) with just 30 baht, they will fetch you to Mo Chit BTS station which is very convenient. So there is no need to take taxi from the airport to your hotel which will cost a lot more.

Speaking of hotel, I think the hotel we stayed for these 6 nights are fantastic. The location of Bangkok City Hotel is strategic, its just 10 minutes walking distance from BTS station, during night there are a lot of food stalls outside the hotel and if need anything urgently 7-11 shop is just beside. Very convenient. The room is big, free wifi provided, every morning there is breakfast buffet and it just cost 1K+ baht per night which is very affordable! I will stay there again if I go Bangkok again.

The buffet breakfast

Overall, we just did 3 main things in Bangkok. Which are shopping, visiting temples and.... EAT EAT EAT!!! lol

During the first night we already ate a lot of delicious, juicy and tasty food along the road at Pratunam market. The foods in Bangkok are really tasty and very affordable. Almost 70% of their food are made from pork, delicious!!
Pork Satay. This is DAMN delicious!!!
Papaya Salad
Meat balls

Thailand sausage
I don't know what it called, but its really juicy n tasty
They even have pork burger in Mc Donald
Shao rou fan
Mango with rice
Bangkok got a lot of tasty foods. We nearly scared of pork at the last day in Bangkok. LOL

The next things to do in Bangkok is to visit their historical temples. There are a lot of temples in Bangkok, we just chose the 2 most famous temples to visit- Wat Arun and Wat Phra Kaew.

To get there we need to take boat because they are along the Chao Phraya River. We took the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat which cost 150 baht per ticket, but its a unlimited ride from pier to pier.

Wat Arun- Temple of Dawn
First stop we went to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. However by the time we reached is already noon.LOL

The temple was tall, with just 50 baht we were able to climb up the temple.
Once we reached the top, its a wonderful scenery.

The staircase are really steep and if you are scared of height you should not climb up. LOL

The landscape on top of the temple is really breathtaking
Wat Phra Kaew - Temple of the Emerald Buddha
The next temple we went was Wat Phra Kaew. Its just opposite river of Wat Arun. The entrance fee is more expensive than Wat Arun's, it was 500 baht. However, it was worth the money!!! Almost everything are covered by GOLD~~

There are a lot of shopping malls or streets to go for shopping. But there are 2 must places I strongly recommend to go. Chatuchak Market and Terminal 21 mall.

Chatuchak Market
It is the largest market in Bangkok. It is so large that its impossible to visit every stores within a day. Be prepare to spend your whole day there if you really wanna shop. Its very easy to get there, it is just nearby Mo Chit station.
It even has a map for the place

Shirts and accessories everywhere

Ice cream stick for just 10 baht
Terminal 21
Normally there is no point of recommending which shopping mall to go, because every malls are almost the same. However, this mall is different from others. Its not that they have different kinds of stores than others. They also have similar stores with other shopping malls. The main difference is every levels of the mall has its own country theme!!
San Francisco!
London!
Tokyo!
Even the escalators they built it like airport terminal
I heard that even the toilets for every levels have their own unique designs according to the country. Too bad we didn't know about it that time. Next time if I go Bangkok again I surely will visit the toilets every level. LOL

ASIATIQUE
Asiatique is also another must go place. After tired of shopping, visiting Wat, you surely want to visit this place. It has a different atmosphere from Bangkok, its like some part of Western country. Its really a nice place to walk around especially with your other half. There are also a lot of food there. In Bangkok you just can't stop eating. LOL

I'm don't know what is the food name, but its really DELICIOUS!
Overall, it was really fun to visit Bangkok and worth the money! I spent less than RM700 including the flight tickets and accommodation. Somemore the food there are delicious! We just can't stop eating. I surely will visit Bangkok for a second time.
